Overview

The VP Scalper Algorithm approximates Volume Profile concepts using available TradingView data to identify high-volume price levels and value areas. The system trades reactions at Point of Control (POC) and Value Area boundaries.

Note: TradingView has Volume Profile limitations. This algorithm uses statistical approximations to identify likely high-volume zones.

How It Works

VALUE AREA APPROXIMATION Estimate value area using available data:

• POC Approximation: VWAP or price level with most time/ticks
  • Value Area High (VAH): Upper boundary (typically 70% of activity)
  • Value Area Low (VAL): Lower boundary

LEVEL TRADING Trade reactions at key levels:

• Long at VAL: Price enters VAL, bounces back into value
  • Short at VAH: Price enters VAH, rejects back into value
  • POC as magnet: Price tends to return to POC

ENTRY CONFIRMATION Validate trades with:

• Candlestick rejection patterns
  • Volume spike at level touch
  • VMAlgo momentum confirmation
